Self-care

It’s been a long several weeks. As a small business owner and manager of a creative space, I keep coming back to the idea that we need to give ourselves space to process and to recharge—and also that we can’t feel badly about the desire to attend to our own needs.

Personally, I practice self-care so that I can show up every day for the people I love. For me, this means taking the time to indulge creativity. Plenty has been written about the benefits of working with your hands—and studies have even shown that it can relieve anxiety and function as an antidepressant.

In the spirit of self-care, I invite you to join us at Grapheme this Friday and Saturday for a free letterpress demo. Come learn a little bit about our Vandercook proof press and take home a free print to share with someone you love. You can take one for yourself, too!

As an added bonus, check out the Little Boxes citywide event we are participating in this Friday and Saturday—November 25 and 26—to see how you can support local independent retailers and win some sweet prizes. For more information, click here.
